Sweet and Complete: Part 2
Applejack had rarely felt so giddy, almost as if she were a filly again. There was a song in her heart that couldn’t contain itself, and she was humming it placidly as she brushed her mane before the bathroom mirror. She had never taken such pride in her appearance when it wasn’t some huge, formal occasion, and even then she felt pressured and uncomfortable to get herself gussied up, but this time was different. This time, it was worth it.
It had been at least two weeks since she had confessed her love for Rarity, and to her utter astonishment and delight, Rarity reciprocated her affections. Since then, they had only been able to

Sweet and Complete: A Rarijack Story
Rarity was in high spirits as she levitated streamers to hang over the rafters, settling balloons to float perfectly in place. The barn of Sweet Apple Acres had been utterly transformed over the last few hours, under the fashionista’s eagle-eye for aesthetic perfection. Sweetie Belle’s birthday was today, and Rarity had determined upon giving her a party to remember when she got back from a special Crusading session with her friends. The Apple family had given her permission to host it in the barn, and she had gotten to work spiffing it up for when Sweetie Belle returned.
The door opened, and Applejack stepped in, looking around

Sugarcube, do my hooves look cracked to you?
"Come again darling?"
"Ah asked if ya really think that mah hooves are cracked and dry."
"Well of course they're-"
Rarity cut herself off and quickly snapped her face into a thoughtful one, hovering a hoof and tapping it on her chin. "Are they cracked and dry?" Rarity mused and quickly took a look at Applejack's front hooves, careful not to let her friend notice her fake nonchalance.
Applejack rolled her eyes as she noticed Rarity's quick glance at an instant, sighed, and lifted her hoof up to offer it to Rarity's view. "Well do ya?" She asked, raising her eyebrow.
Rarity jerked back a bit at the notion, feeling a quick pang of guilt, then
"A Hard Day's Work"
A RariJack Story
"Have a nice day ma'am" Rarity said to the last customer as they left Carousel Boutique. She had a busy day today with making and fixing many dresses, tuxedos, and drawing up some new designs for future projects. She wiped the sweat from her forehead with her hoof. "Wow! This was one of the busiest days I've had in a while! So many customers and so many projects to do with such little time! Well, it will keep me busy for a while!"
She used her horn to take off her styling glasses and started clean up her work area. In a matter of minutes, everything was neatly set in place. Every piece of fabric and s

Apples and Gemstones
"All right, rock. You an' me."
Applejack trotted a slow circle around the pony-sized chunk of stone, eying it from every angle. The rough surface, mottled here and there with lichen and the occasional mossy fur, looked pretty, she supposed - but not enough.
Not what she needed.
Twilight had assured Applejack that what she needed was hidden beneath that unassuming facade, and if any pony would know it was Princess Twilight Sparkle - or Rarity, she supposed, but she couldn't ask her.
Not about this.
A deep breath, and Applejack lifted the heavy chisel to set it against the stone.
"Let's see whatcha got."

Resting under the leaves of Bloomberg Jr. had become something of a birthday tradition for Applejack. It did not matter that the trip up the relatively stout hill was becoming harder and harder on her creaky old legs; whenever she reached the top and felt that firm bark on her back, those strong roots under her legs, she was content. It gave her a chance to really think back on the day…and on the years that stretched out wider and wider before it.
This year’s party in particular had been quite an experience; even though Pinkie was no longer around to help throw them…even as old faces left and new ones came…she

The Tumbling Downs was on the very edge of town, an off-the-path place where usually a stallion could be found with too many sheets to the wind and a few too many gold coins wasted on mead. On most nights the Prancing Pony or the Fancy Girdle would be Rarity's first choice, but tonight of all nights, with the village suddenly pizzled in a late-March rain
That she wouldn't be caught dead looking mangled and upset like this in front of her "social friends", well it was convenient.
Ambling in, the haggard stark white and dark lavender pony took in the sight of a clean, well-lit tavern.

In Defense of Rari-Jack =)
To preface, I've always been a fan of this one. In fact, I'd say it's the only "ship" that doesn't make me kinda go "ehhh, no thanks" (fully understanding that I'm probably in the minority here - and edit: note that I'm not objecting to or disapproving any other relationships that folks like - just noting that I personally am just not a fan =)). I think it started with Look Before You Sleep, which illustrated how these two 180 opposites could come together in the end and not only accept, but also appreciate one another's differences.
It may be reaching a bit, but it seems the writers have included little tidbits here and there to reinforce
Just A Taste
Applejack liked to keep things focused. It had always been the surest way she knew to get things done right. One step at a time, one problem resolved before another, one line of thought pursued from start to finish. No dithering, no distractions, just concentration and clarity.
As the orange Earth Pony made her way through Ponyville’s streets, the stars in the night sky providing her the only real light available, that focus was all the more valuable now. The day she had just experienced left her no shortage of things to think about, after all; Twilight Sparkle, an alicorn prince

Writing Prompt:
"So, it's been one really crazy day. For starters, I woke up in a bush. I mean a tree, yeah, that happens, but a bush!? Come on, that's totally lame. I don't remember even leaving my home.
Twilight and Rarity both congratulated me when I met them for lunch. I guess that stunt I pulled yesterday left a great impression on them. But Fluttershy didn't say anything, not that that's weird, but she hid from me, me!. I thought we were past that. Uncool. She didn't even answer when I asked if she'
